Our approach

You can explore every world without creating an account or turning on your camera. Camera interaction is optional and begins only after you choose Camera and grant permission through your browser.

Camera processing

When Camera is on, video frames are processed live inside your browser by locally served MediaPipe models. Attune uses the result to estimate hand presence, position, movement and openness, and face presence and smile intensity. These signals change the artwork in real time.

Attune does not upload, record, store or share your camera images. It does not perform face recognition, verify your identity, create a biometric identity template, or use the signals to make decisions about you. The live camera stream and derived signals are released when Camera is turned off or you leave the experience.

Information handled by the website

• Camera permission and temporary signals: handled in browser memory only while an interactive experience is running.
• Session preferences: this tab may store that you have seen the camera privacy notice. Debug versions may store non-image timing diagnostics for testing. This session storage is not sent to Attune or Huebot.
• Sound preference: this device may remember whether you muted Attune so the next world respects your choice. This preference is not used to identify you.
• Technical request data: the website host and delivery providers may receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time for delivery, reliability and security purposes.
• External fonts: the current website requests font files from Google Fonts, whose servers may receive ordinary network request information.

The website does not use advertising trackers or marketing cookies, and it does not sell personal information.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which worlds people visit. This includes page views, referring sites and coarse browser, device and country information. Vercel processes ordinary request information to produce aggregated reports without analytics cookies. This is not linked to an Attune account; no login is required. We remove query strings and exclude debug pages from our analytics.

Per-world stay-duration reporting is not currently enabled. We will update this notice when it is activated.

Camera frames, hand and face landmarks, expressions, camera errors and feedback message contents are never sent to analytics. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. You can also opt out below; this stores only your preference on this device. Reports may be incomplete when tracking is blocked.

Vercel may process analytics outside Australia under its analytics privacy practices.

Contact and feedback

Contact and Feedback links open your email application. Nothing is sent until you choose to send the email. We receive your email address and the message you choose to share, use them to respond and improve Attune, and keep correspondence only as needed for the enquiry or applicable record-keeping obligations. Please do not send camera recordings or sensitive personal information. You can request deletion by email.

Why information is handled

Temporary camera signals are used only to provide the gesture and expression response you request. Technical request data may be used by infrastructure providers to serve media, maintain availability, prevent abuse and diagnose faults.

Disclosure and overseas processing

Camera images and derived interaction signals are not disclosed by Attune because they remain on your device. Technical request data may be processed by website hosting, content-delivery and font providers, including infrastructure located outside Australia. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and control

Attune does not retain camera images or interaction signals. You can stop processing at any time by turning Camera off, leaving the experience, closing the tab, or revoking camera permission in your browser. Session storage normally ends with the browser tab session. Infrastructure providers may keep technical logs for their operational and security retention periods.

Access, correction and complaints

Because Attune does not hold camera images or interaction signals, it cannot retrieve or correct them. Attune is presented by Huebot Pty Ltd. For privacy enquiries, access or correction requests, or complaints, email j.cathywang@gmail.com.

If the Australian Privacy Act 1988 applies and a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Australian Office of the Australian Information Commissioner through the OAIC privacy complaints process.

This policy will be updated when the website changes how it handles information. The date above identifies the current version.
